Player accommodation
The following is a list of popular Motels, Hotels and B & Bs (Bed and breakfast) we recommend for players, spectators and their partners/families in Christchurch for the 2008 World Croquet Championships. We cannot stress too strongly that early bookings are essential for all accommodation in Christchurch as early February is an extremely busy time.
The following group located in the lower Riccarton Road area are all within a 5 minutes walk through Hagley Park to the United Croquet Club, Headquarters for the tournament, daily transport to the other clubs will leave from, and return to United. There are numerous restaurants and bars within a few minutes of the accommodation.

- 298 Westside Motor Lodge www.westsidemotorlodge.co.nz is within strolling distance to Bush Inn Centre, where there are a variety of retail outlets, restaurants, cafes and bars and close to City Centre.
- Bealey’s Speights Ale House www.speights-alehouse.co.nz is set amongst spacious lawns and gardens. It is part of the Bealey's Hotel, (formerly Pacific Park), accommodation complex.
- City Park Lodge www.cityparknz.com has 25 self contained units and a restaurant, "Trevino's" the site for several of United Croquet Club's nights out!
- Central Park Motor Lodge www.centralpark.co.nz is at 15 Riccarton Road and Cherry Tree Motel www.cherrytreemotel.co.nz is just next door at 12 Riccarton Road.

- Jailhouse Accommodation www.jail.co.nz is extremely low priced currently offering NZD25 per person bed rates for groups (10+), just mention 2008 World Croquet Champs. This great value accommodation is located at 338 Lincoln Road, a 15/20 minute walk across Hagley Park to United, do visit their site to see what they have to offer.
- Home Lea Bed & Breakfast www.homelea.co.nz is owned by Pauline and Gerald Oliver and we can guarantee you a wonderful stay, located on Bealey Avenue they are just a 5 minute walk to the center of town and a 20/25 minute walk through Hagley Park and the beautiful Botanical Gardens to United. If they are full up they will be only too pleased to recommend other quality B & Bs close to Croquet.
