Notation used for results
Results for the tournament are being reported in two forms:
- notation commonly used in New Zealand
- notation commonly used in the UK
NZ notation
The full number of hoops each player makes is reported. For example:
Joe Smith 26 bt James Black 9.
UK notation
The difference in the number of hoops is reported. For example:
Joe Smith bt James Black +17
If the winning score is less than 26, a T is added to indicate that the game finished on time.
Abbreviations used
- tp
- Triple peel of partner ball
- stp
- Straight triple peel of partner ball (ie, the 4-back peel was not done until the striker's ball was for 4-back itself)
- tpo
- Winning triple peel of opponent
- otp
- A triple peel of opponent that failed to win the game
- qp
- Quadruple peel
- qnp
- Quintuple peel
- sxp
- Sextuple peel
